About the role

  • This role provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing operations, process optimization, equipment introduction, and quality control systems.
  • This is a 10-week internship program offered from June 2026 to August 2026.
  • The expected pay for this position is $20/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering and technical activities during production trial runs, equipment installation, debugging, validation, and early-stage ramp-up.
  • Support evaluation and verification of new equipment, tools, and technologies for manufacturing processes.
  • The Process Engineer Intern will support the manufacturing engineering team in developing, improving, and sustaining production processes.
  • The intern will work closely with engineers and production teams to support new equipment ramp-up, resolve process issues, and analyze manufacturing data.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in:
  • Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment

Nice to have

  • Exposure to quality systems or manufacturing standards (e.g., IATF 16949, Control Plans, PFMEA, SPC).
  • Familiarity with basic quality tools (e.g., 7 QC tools, 8D, or Six Sigma concepts).
  • Coursework or basic knowledge related to lithium-ion batteries or cell manufacturing processes.
  • Internship or academic project experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or quality engineering.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to follow technical guidance and escalate issues appropriately

Compensation

  • Base pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion, and is determined within a range.
