About the role
- This 16,000 square foot space located in El Segundo, California, is EVgo's Corporate Headquarters and Laboratory.
- include forklift operation, shipping/receiving, material handling, warehouse organization, OSHA reports, and equipment staging.
- Scope mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) work as space evolves and changes.
Responsibilities
- The Facility Manager is a newly created position that will support a daily workforce comprised of engineers, technicians, and professional staff.
- This role is non‑union and requires strong collaboration, safety awareness, and hands on technical support in a fast-paced high voltage facility.
- Manage the day-to-day operations in our industrial spaces consisting of office, production, manufacturing, and test support.
- From pre-construction, budgeting, execution, to customer handover, you own it end to end.
- Collaborate with equipment owners on future equipment moves and planning that is inclusive of the space, ensuring the utilities are in place and the workflow is efficient for all.
- Develop and maintain facilities, SOPs, safety reports, and documentation.
- Maintain fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing, water tanks, emergency generators, and other general mechanical and infrastructure repairs that support our spaces.
- A self-starter who can take initiative and drive results without oversite.
- Lead and manage Maintenance, Sanitation, Safety, and Housekeeping teams across the facility.
- Own preventive maintenance and repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.
Skills
- Desired Skills OSHA Forklift certified.
