About the role

You should be versant in banking and traditional Wall Street firms and also have a strong grasp of the upstart fintech and crypto companies seeking to disrupt them.
Most importantly, you should be a good storyteller who can captivate readers with tales about the intersection of money and power.
This job will entail writing features for Fortune's iconic magazine but also requires someone capable of writing breaking news and smart analyses that explain the biggest events of the week.

Develop your own angles to cover within the finance sector, and become an authoritative, must-read reporter covering those angles

Has extensive experience covering finance news as a beat reporter, including a record of publishing scoops
Has a proven ability to develop sources inside and outside companies
Has strong writing chops and is adept at writing in various story formats and styles
Is inherently curious and willing to learn on the go

This range is a good faith estimate and may ultimately vary based on a number of relevant factors.
$110,000 - $150,000.
