Responsibilities

  • Support high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, including clustering, replication, backup, and recovery strategies.
  • Database Administration, Database Design, Database Management Systems (DBMS), Database Performance, Data Modeling

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Microsoft SQL Server database administration experience, along with other database experiences such as MongoDB, MySQL or MariaDB.
  • Strong expertise in SQL Server performance tuning, security, backup/recovery, and Always On Availability Groups (AOAG).
  • Experience supporting databases in virtualized environments.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex database, application connectivity, and data integration issues.
  • Employees must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
  • When working from home, you must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating.
  • Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Nutanix or other enterprise virtualization platforms.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL administration and support.
  • Experience with SQL Server High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures.
  • PowerShell scripting and database automation experience.
  • Experience with MongoDB replica sets, production upgrades, and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with MySQL/MariaDB replication and enterprise platform support.

Compensation

  • The a nnual salary offered will be in the range of $140,000- $160,000.
  • Eligible, and up to 20% of base salary
  • Compensation offered for this role is 98,100.00 - 167,850.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
  • This policy applies to all aspects of the employment relationship, including, but not limited to, hiring, training, salary administration, promotion, job assignment, benefits, discipline, and separation of employment.
