About the role

This is a fixed-term, three-year position.
The Rattlesnake Creek Project Manager will report to the Freshwater Program Manager within the Kansas business unit.
The position is primarily remote in Kansas, with the option to use office facilities at a nearby TNC office location as needed.

Requirements

Experience with crop irrigation in semi-arid environments.
Knowledge of land management conservation practice and conservation science.
Knowledge of current trends and practices in conservation, land management and natural resource preservation.
Knowledge of federal, state and local policies and regulations related to agriculture.
Experience working with commodity markets.

Experience communicating with the public and/or media both in writing and verbally.
Experience using applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Web Browsers.
Experience with principles of land acquisition.
Ability and willingness to apply science to decision-making and guide activities in Rattlesnake Creek.
Excellent communication skills via written, spoken and graphical means in English and other relevant languages.

Compensation

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $62,000 - $72,000 for annual base salary.
Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges.
