About the role
- Responsible for and manages all financial, accounting, processes and internal controls the accounting and financial activities in the business as well as being a trusted business partner that has an operational/business mindset who can deliver results that improve the business working with business leaders and auditors.
Responsibilities
- Manages and develops a team focused on business partnering, advisory, continuous improvement efforts, and data driven analysis/decision making
- Maintains fiscal responsibility and ensures the establishment and administration of adequate internal controls within the organization.
- Helps drive profitable decision making and maximizing return on assets by preparing and analyzing financial data along with operational metrics.
- Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and developing employees
- Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and developing employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
Requirements
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of experience, preferably at a manufacturing company
- Oracle R12 or Infor Cloudsuite experience preferred
Skills
- General understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Work independently with little or no oversight
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office suite of products and accounting software
- Strong analytical/critical thinking
- Big data modeling, financial modeling, automation experiences
