Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the dispatching of trucks to guarantee timely and accurate deliveries to job sites, optimizing routes for safe and effective transportation by properly utilizing SRS routing technology
  • Lead and conduct safety audits and meetings to ensure full compliance with company safety standards, fostering a secure and hazard-free work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to support overall branch operations, including order processing, end-of-day balancing, and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives across all functional areas.
  • Employ precise management techniques to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure timely order processing.
  • Demonstrate outstanding organizational capabilities to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Implement strategies to ensure swift and accurate fulfillment of operational duties.

Requirements

  • Proven excellence in verbal and written communication.
  • Effective time management, demonstrating a consistent ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or analogous software.
  • Proficiency in local area navigation and efficient truck routing.
  • This position also supports the indirect oversight of dispatchers, as required for efficient logistics and transport management.
  • Maintain proficiency in utilizing relevant software, including Microsoft Office Suite, to support operational efficiency and resource management.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Advanced ERP Systems: Proficient in utilizing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for inventory control and management, providing real-time data analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Financial Acumen and Budget Management: Strong financial management skills with experience in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and cost control to ensure the profitability and sustainability of operations.
  • Exceptional Problem-Solving

Skills

  • Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining accountability and performance standards.
  • Minimum Education:
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • College-level coursework is considered advantageous.
  • Preferred Education:
  • Minimum Years Of Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience and/or training in operations management.
  • Practical experience in warehouse, distribution center, shipping, or receiving environments with comparable responsibilities.
  • Experience within the roofing industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Certifications:
  • Forklift Certification - Preferred.
  • Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Preferred.

Compensation

  • The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $59,600.00 to $77,400.00 annually.
