About the role
- Job Description Montgomery College has an immediate need for a full-time Energy and Sustainability Analyst at the Central Services location in Rockville, Maryland.
- The work schedule is 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This is a Non-Bargaining, Exempt, grade 31 position.
- For non-exempt positions, you are not eligible to work a secondary job at Montgomery College.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Experience with building design simulation and ASHRAE standards.
- Experience supporting, investigating, or integrating sustainability initiatives.
- Knowledge of the principles, concepts and techniques of mechanical engineering as applied to energy, utility management, sustainability, and resource conservation programs.
- Knowledge in energy conversion, energy conservation, environmental effects and resource conservation practices.
- Successful completion of a background check and degree verification (if applicable).

Skills
- Meet with campus facilities staff to understand operating conditions and discuss suggestions for maintenance and energy cost savings.
- Evaluate, revise, and prepare College design guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation
- $79,746 - $103,658 per year.
- The maximum salary for this position is $127,571 per year.

- Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range and is based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity.
- Participation in a Maryland State Retirement System plan (Pension or Optional Retirement Plan, depending on the position).
- If you are already retired from the Maryland State Retirement System, you may not enroll in a Maryland State Retirement System plan at Montgomery College and may have earn ings restrictions, per state law.
- For degrees earned outside of the U.S., a copy of your education equivalency, conducted by a nationally recognized evaluation service, must be included in your application.
