About the role

  • As an OR Circulating Nurse, you'll be the eyes, voice, and advocate for the patient throughout every procedure.
  • You'll oversee the intraoperative environment, coordinate the surgical team, and uphold the highest standards of safety and care from first incision to final count.
  • This is a full-time, 30-hour/week position - structured as 3 days per week at 10 hours per shift (weekdays only).

Responsibilities

  • Perform and verify surgical counts (sponges, sharps, instruments) and initiate corrective action when needed
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique - intervene immediately if breaks occur
  • Manage patient positioning to protect circulation, respiration, and comfort
  • Collaborate closely with the surgical tech, anesthesia, and nursing team to deliver seamless, high-quality care
  • A culture of respect, action, and support

Requirements

  • Current Ohio RN license (required)
  • BLS and ACLS certification (required)
  • The ability to think critically under pressure and act with confidence and integrity

Nice to have

  • Minimum 2 years of operating room experience - OR experience strongly preferred
  • Ambulatory surgery center (ASC) experience a plus
