- Full Consideration Date: 5/13/2026 Job Description: UNI-CUE is seeking a passionate and dedicated Writing Instructor to join our team for the summer of 2026.
- The program provides students with opportunities to engage in math, reading, writing, STEM, and leadership activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging and interactive lesson plans that promote student understanding and interest in writing.
- Actively participate in program activities, including field trips, team-building exercises, and leadership-focused events.
- The 5th Grade Leadership Academy is a dynamic four-week summer program designed to support students during the important transition from elementary to middle school.
Requirements
- Must have at least one year of experience working with youth, either in a paid or voluntary capacity.
- Must be a highly motivated individual capable of working independently without supervision, knowledgeable, open-minded, and friendly.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
- Must have knowledge of basic first aid.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Must be accountable with a strong attendance record.

- Must have experience as a Elementary/Middle school instructor or a Elementary/Middle School Education major at the Junior or Senior level.
- Must know and enforce safety procedures.
- Prefer an individual who is capable of driving a van to pick up six students from home to UNI-CUE every morning and back home at the end of the program each day.
- Additional Information:
- This position is a paid summer opportunity, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM.
- Applicants must be available for the full duration of the program (June 22 - July 17, 2026).
- The position involves participation in both classroom instruction and extracurricular activities such as day trips.
- Must pass a criminal background check and driving record check.
