Responsibilities

  • Maintains equipment.
  • Must complete training that is provided that includes the dysrhythmia course and basic life support (BLS).
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must complete the dysrhythmia course within 90 day evaluation period and maintain competency as a telemetry technician.
  • The Telemetry department strives to maintain the most updated evidence-based practices and equipment needed to facilitate our goals.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures
  • Must pass the all required competencies.

  • High School Diploma/GED, or formal educational equivalent.
  • Six (6) months direct patient care related experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience interpreting rhythms.
  • Certified as a nursing assistant or military corpsman.
  • At least one (1) year of direct patient care related experience.

  • Must have excellent communication skills, ability to follow oral instructions, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.
