About the role

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in mission-critical facility design and construction environments.

Deliver expert technical support to data center services and operations teams, defining mechanical system design requirements for multiple data center projects from inception to completion.
Develop, implement, and manage the mechanical designs at the site level, starting from the basis of design through to the issuance of construction documents for new builds, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations.
Collaborate effectively with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to respond to site-specific engineering Requests for Information (RFI) and ensure alignment between Google's requirements and the overall design.
Coordinate with the core engineering team to provide site-specific requirements during the development of the Basis of Design (BOD) and coordinate system-level schematics with the EOR.
Manage site-level power system issues during projects execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve challenges effectively.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in mission-critical facility design and construction environments.
5 years of experience in design, construction and commissioning of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and mechanical distribution systems, including air and water side systems.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time as required.

Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or other relevant fields, or a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
5 years of experience with mission critical facilities and data centers (multi-tenant facilities or build-to-suit single tenant facilities) in design or construction with project/engineering management.
Experience working with data center equipment and environments (e.g., switchgear, generators, transformers, controls, security monitoring systems, fire safety systems).
Understanding of start up/commissioning processes.
