About the role
- Georgetown University comprises two unique campuses in the nation's capital.
- This role also provides counsel to fundraisers throughout the organization to facilitate their engagement with donors in their respective units or areas.
- The Director provides counsel on technical areas such as estate and wealth planning, tax, liquid or hard-to-value assets, complex charitable giving vehicles and structures, and the financial and personal issues affecting wealthy families.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctorate required
- Minimum of 5-7 years of overall professional experience with at least 5 years of professional experience in Planned Giving or estate and trust administration
- Experience with documenting bequests and reviewing planned giving legal documents
- Working knowledge of the legal, tax, and procedural aspects of estate planning, estate administration, fiduciary responsibilities, estate and trust tax preparation, and accounting required
- Ability to work collegially and collaboratively in a team setting
- Exceptional work ethic and track record of personal initiative
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills characterized by the ability to listen, speak and write well
Compensation
- The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
- $135,188.00 - $264,291.85
- Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
