Responsibilities
- Develops, establishes, implements, and evaluates systems to monitor accuracy and timeliness of registrations
- Develops, monitors and trends Key Performance Indicators for Patient Access (PA) and reports findings to the senior management
- Develops resource materials and guides to be used by staff
Requirements
- Attends department and team meetings, as required
- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)
- Two years of relevant patient access experience (required)

- The Patient Access Coordinator is responsible for oversight of revenue cycle activities related to patient registration, referrals, precertification/pre-authorization, insurance verification, co-pay collections, customer service functions and training pertaining to front-end operations to ensure financial goals are met.
- Completes and evaluates Patient Access functions and creates the first impression of University Medical Center ( UMC) services to patients and families and other external customers.
