About the role
- The Payroll Clerk III, reporting directly to the Payroll and Tax Manager, is responsible for Completing all aspects of the university's payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely employee payments.
- The position also includes bi-weekly payroll processing, tax reconciliation, maintenance of tax treaty information, and time tracking reporting to various departments.
- Assisting Payroll and Tax Manager with various audit reporting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with departments across campus for time sheet approvals and discrepancies
- Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring the payroll system operates correctly and addressing any discrepancies. Follow all processing procedures, adhere to company policies, and maintain confidentiality throughout the process.
Requirements
- Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment.
- All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES).
Nice to have
- Analysis and updates of international tax treaties within Sprintax and Workday
- Assist Payroll and Tax Manager with audit review and prep
- Process payment reissues for rejected direct deposits and lost checks
- Other Duties as assigned
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft excel functions and formulas.
Compensation
- $50,000 to 55,000
