Responsibilities
- Answering emails in a timely fashion, building Peak shipments, quoting loads, and tracking the running loads.
- Optimize expedited activity and determine the most optimal mode of transit based on customer requirements.
- Create new OBC shipments with all relative information provided by the customer. Either via email or phone call.
- Maintain compliance with Ascent procedures and establish accurate timelines for purpose of adequately scheduling trucking and ground handling services at various airports.
- Maintain awareness and visualize shipment activity in efforts to maintain compliance with all milestone management details and escalation.
- Read, comprehend, understand, and validate all documents necessary for a Hand carry.
- Effectively manage all channels of communication utilized within the Ascent OBC operation.
- Precisely and chronologically document the various events throughout the Hand carry lifecycle using standardized templates.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Requirements
- Must be able to think and react quickly with a sense of urgency to time-sensitive problem situations.
- Must be able to remain calm during adverse conditions.
Nice to have
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook and Excel preferred.
