About the role

  • Arizona Liver Health and is looking for qualified candidates for their Clinic APP position in Tucson, AZ.
  • Title: Clinic Advanced Practice Provider APP (Tucson)

Responsibilities

  • 30-min Initial Call with Internal Talent Partner (Recruiter)

Requirements

  • Successful candidates are Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) who have previous experience with gastroenterology (GI) and/or hepatology.
  • The Clinic APP plays a crucial role in driving and expanding the organization's ability to provide innovative patient care for those affected by liver disease.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
  • Strong ability to identify issues with "quietly unhappy" patients
  • Ability to provide patient care with minimal supervision
  • Ability to diagnose and make treatment decisions for patients

Nice to have

  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking)
  • Ability to problem solve with systems and processes
  • Leadership skills
  • Commitment to earning additional certifications/professional titles outside scope of work
  • Ability to resourceful and consults resources before asking others for instruction
  • Previous outpatient hepatology/gastroenterology experience as an NP or a PA preferred
  • Experience in completing fibroscans for patients preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program from an accredited institution

Compensation

  • $110,000 - $155,000 per year; depending on experience
  • Please note: the top of the salary range is reserved for highly experienced APPs with proven specialty experience in Hepatology and Gastroenterology.

  • Responsible for performing patient evaluations, consults, and review of pretreatment for standard of care patients as well clinical research patients
  • Educating patients on therapeutic options through available liver clinical trials onsite
