- Required Adverse Weather Reporting: This position is designated as "Mandatory" and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
- MUST be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.

- Documented supervisory skills in a prison facility.

- This position is located at Greene Correctional Institution, a minimum custody facility housing 656 offenders.
- This position provides supervision for subordinate staff, conducts shift line-up, makeshift assignments and inspects all personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post.
- This position will also complete, review and maintain time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performance evaluations and administrative forms.
- Description of Work
- This position will account for persons and funds and ensure that all assigned equipment is operationally ready, identify training needs and coordinate delivery of training to subordinate staff as well as conduct investigations, develop prison operational, emergency plans and post orders.
