About the role

  • Accounting Professionals within the NACA team are dedicated to working together and delivering world class support across our global community.
  • FTI Consulting's North America Core Accounting Team provides accounting support to our client service professionals and Segment Finance leadership in Corporate Finance & Restructuring, Forensic & Litigation Consulting, Technology, Economic Consulting, Strategic Communications and other Specialty Services so they are able to meet and exceed the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the North America monthly, quarterly, and year-end revenue accounting close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.
  • Lead the assessment, calculation, and documentation of complex revenue reserves, estimates, and judgments.
  • Drive consistency in revenue and expense recognition practices across business units and legal entities.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of revenue accounting professionals.
  • Establish performance expectations, provide coaching, and support career development initiatives.
  • lead initiatives to improve scalability, automation, and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant Accounting experience or Big Four experience
  • Strong and practical working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
  • Prior people leadership experience with managing and developing accounting teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel required
  • Ability to organize and analyze a large volume of data.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work extended hours to meet deadlines when needed.
  • Experience with ERP systems and large-scale financial reporting environments.
  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of strong and practical working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Experience working with both domestic and international operating units preferred.

Compensation

  • Minimum Pay: $116,500
  • Maximum Pay: $193,500
  • Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role.
  • Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual's location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
