About the role

  • Assists with oversite of regulatory expectations for Nuclear Medicine in the Flint Hills Region.
  • Experience Qualifications - 1 year Experience in nuclear medicine or a related field.
  • Seeks opportunities to improve knowledge base by attending departmental meetings, in services and other educational activities.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by Physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ.
  • Performs venipuncture for injections.
  • Willingly accepts various work assignments. Is accountable and responsible for own actions/decisions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Maintains CEU's for certification.

Requirements

  • The employee must be able to lift or move 4 to 5 patients on a daily basis.
  • Ability to help and assist needful patients onto camera pallet or exam table.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to express and exchange ideas by means of the written and spoken word.
  • Must be able to walk from area to area.
  • Workspace is a quiet and distraction-free allowing the ability to comply with all security and privacy standards.

  • 1 year Experience in nuclear medicine or a related field.
  • Willingly accepts various work assignments.

  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • NMTCB Required or
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • ARRT Required or
  • Radiography
  • ARRT Must complete cross training within 6 months of hire. Required
  • Licensed Radiology Technologist (LRT)
  • KSBHA Valid Kansas License or eligible must be obtained. Required

Compensation

  • Abide by Stormont Vail's Remote Worker Policy and will review and acknowledge the Remote Work Agreement annually.
