About the role
- The Teledyne FLIR manufacturing facility in Freeport, PA makes optical components that go into thermal imaging cameras, gimbals, scopes, and other military driven products.
- We are looking to hire an Optical Machine Technician to join our team, initially working 1st shift hours during training and then 2nd or 3rd shift hours after training.
- This position will learn the necessary skills to run various machines that are used to make and measure the optics used in Teledyne FLIR products.
Nice to have
- Machining experience strongly preferred.
- Optical manufacturing experience a plus/preferred.
- Experience using basic shop tools such as calipers, micrometers, drop gauges preferred.
- Experience performing visual inspections of small parts for defects strongly preferred.
- Experience handling delicate parts/pieces throughout a manufacturing process strongly preferred.
