About the role

  • We understand and provide expert consultation on weapons systems acquisition programs, maintenance/modernization programs, and sustainment programs.

  • Albers is seeking a dedicated financial modeler on the COO's team, the person who turns messy, fast-moving deal and operating data into a number leadership can act on.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own integrated financial models from the ground up: three-statement models, P&L forecasts, contract and backlog waterfalls, and program-level builds across our business verticals.
  • build and pressure-test target models, valuation and multiple analysis, returns work, and quality-of-earnings reading.
  • integration checklists, carve-out and divestiture support, and folding acquired financials into Albers reporting.
  • Our core competencies include systems engineering, program management, logistics, production support, aircraft maintenance, and aviation/aerospace services.

  • You will own integrated models, support live M&A and divestitures end to end, and carry the financial workstream.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, corporate development, strategic finance, or FP&A.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify issues, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident) in compliance with ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, financial due diligence, integration activities, or divestitures.
  • Experience within aerospace, defense, government contracting, or complex manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with government contract accounting, including cost-plus, time-and-materials (T&M), fixed-price contracts, indirect rates, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
  • MBA, CFA, CPA, or other advanced business or finance credentials.

Compensation

  • Tie forecasts to signed backlog, bookings, and the annual operating plan, and keep the model honest when source systems disagree.
