About the role
- You will operate across the full product lifecycle, from identifying opportunities through user research and workflow analysis to designing, validating, and measuring solutions after launch.
- Facilitate workshops, journey mapping sessions, and stakeholder alignment activities.
- User Research & Insights Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research initiatives.
Responsibilities
- User-centered design principles, interaction design patterns, and information architecture.
- Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design practices.
- Agile product development lifecycle and how design integrates across discovery and delivery.
- As a Senior Product Designer, you will lead the design of digital, data, and AI-powered products that create measurable value across New York Blood Center Enterprises.
- You will help establish design standards, mentor other designers, and champion a culture of continuous discovery and evidence-based decision making.
- Product Discovery & Strategy Lead end-to-end discovery efforts to identify unmet user needs and business opportunities.
- Translate business objectives into actionable design and user experience strategies.
- Influence product decisions through user research, data analysis, and design expertise.
- Experience Design Design intuitive experiences across web, mobile, desktop, and analytics platforms.
- Create information architecture, interaction models, workflows, wireframes, and prototypes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience designing digital products in product-led organizations.
- Experience working within Agile product teams.
- Advanced proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping tools.
Skills
- Wireframing, mockup creation, and high-fidelity prototyping.
- User research facilitation-interviews, contextual inquiry, usability testing, and synthesis.
- Visual design-layout, typography, color, and component design.
- Advocate for the user in product decisions while remaining pragmatic about technical constraints.
- Iterate quickly based on user feedback, usability findings, and product data.

Compensation
- For applicants who will perform this position in Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $140,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year.
