About the role
- Smoky Mountain Children's Home, a faith-based non-profit organization, is seeking part-time Direct Care Staff for the Sevierville, TN campus.
- In this role you would be in a position to make a positive difference in the lives of at-risk youth.
- You will join a team of dedicated individuals who oversee the welfare of an assigned group of at-risk youth.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to adolescent youth
- Help youth develop healthy relationships with family and friends
- Perform and supervise household chores
- Shop for and organize the supplies needed to manage a household of 8 youth and their caregivers
- Oversee and manage the overall operations of your assigned cottage
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to work as a team member and accept supervision.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and extensive background checks.
- Must be physically capable of performing all job duties.
- Must be able to perform basic housekeeping duties and prepare meals.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills with a caring approach.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Nice to have
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred.
Compensation
- $14.50/hour with a.50/hour pay increase after 90-day probationary period (with a favorable performance evaluation).
