About the role

  • Function as subject matter expert in the areas of delivering and operating reliable, performant, robust, and secure applications
  • The Platform Engineering team is part of Parametric IT's Developer Experience department at Parametric and is vital to developer enablement and system reliability in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

  • Work with the development teams to design, document, create and maintain highly available systems
  • Design, implement, and manage centralized monitoring solutions that provide expedient actionable feedback to the development teams
  • Partner with the application development teams to create flows, processes, automation, and tooling
  • We partner with advisors, institutions, and consultants to build portfolios focused on what's important to them and their clients.
  • A leader in custom solutions for more than 30 years, we help investors access efficient market exposures, solve implementation challenges, and design multi-asset portfolios that respond to their evolving needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area of study
  • 5+ years of hands-on Platform Engineering (i.e., DevOps, SysOps, SRE) experience with a proven track record of people and thought leadership to achieve strategic objectives
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native solution architectures and related platform support, i.e., Cyber Security, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), Observability
  • Ability to dive deep and get hands-on to contribute to platform engineering solutions
  • Proven experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
  • Experience implementing IAC
  • Experience using GitHub and engineering YAML based ci/cd pipelines
  • Experience implementing and operating container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Vulnerability Management tooling (SAST and SCA scanning) integration with SDLC toolchain
  • Experience using Gen AI tooling for software development and testing productivity
  • Developer enablement mindset with an ability to collaborate across technology teams

Nice to have

  • Experience implementing IAC - Terraform preferred
  • Terraform preferred

Skills

  • Automate provisioning of non-production environment for application development and testing
  • Build and maintain container orchestration on Kubernetes
  • Provide observability via monitoring tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Sentry etc.
  • Contribute to evolution of our architecture (cloud-focused) to increase its flexibility and ease of use
  • Follow technology trends/tools and recommend improvements to our technology when appropriate
  • Expertise in automation strategies for cloud-native solutions (pipelines, IAC, test suites)

  • The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
  • The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
