About the role
- Bain Capital Credit founded as Sankaty Advisors in 1998, is a leading global credit specialist with approximately $50 billion in assets under management.
- Bain Capital Credit invests up and down the capital structure and across the spectrum of credit strategies, including leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, distressed debt, private lending, structured products, non-performing loans and equities.
- In addition to credit, Bain Capital invests across asset classes including private equity, public equity and venture capital, and leverages the firm's shared platform to capture opportunities in strategic areas of focus.
Responsibilities
- Interact with the funds' prime brokers, trading counterparties and custodians as needed to support the trade settlement process
- Manage the prompt resolution of failed trades and all settlement related issues
- Liaise as needed with the firm's external settlement partners to effect the timely and accurate settlement of trades
- Familiarity with legal documents and credit agreements
Requirements
- Detail-oriented, conscientious and energetic professional with ability to think creatively
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under strict deadlines
- Working knowledge of Omgeo Oasys and Alert
- Experience with Bloomberg and other trading and settlement software platforms
- Strong interpersonal skills with capacity to interact with all levels both internally and externally
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through skills
- Solid Microsoft Excel skills
Compensation
- Expected Annual Base Salary $70,000 - $78,000
- Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
- In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance.
