About the role
- This role sits within the Order-to-Cash (OTC) process and is central to driving Spotify's €15B+ Premium subscription business.
- This is a high-visibility role with broad cross-functional exposure.
- You'll be responsible for the preparation and first-level review of analytics, journal entries, reconciliations, accounting system and process testing, and related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Own the detailed coordination of accounting for all components of the Paid Revenue segment, inclusive of Premium, Partner, and Other Paid Revenues.
- Identify operational efficiency opportunities and collaborate with leadership to drive process improvements.
- Lead strategic efficiency work end to end - drafting proposals, coordinating with Engineering and business stakeholders, scoping, testing, and reviewing outputs.
- Support new business initiatives from a financial accounting perspective, scaling operational process flows to adapt to new business demands.
- Support special projects, system implementations, and enhancements, and perform ad hoc analyses as needed.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Requirements
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably with companies in SaaS, Digital Commerce, Payments, or Digital Media operating at scale.
- Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and time zones.

Nice to have
- CPA or CA licence preferred.
- A mixture of Big 4 and industry experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Advanced data and systems skills
- AI and SQL proficiency a plus.
