About the role

- Assesses the pulmonary status of patients receiving respiratory care and makes recommendations for therapy.
Responsibilities
- Sets up, maintains and monitors mechanical ventilatory support.
Requirements
- One of the following: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, a related field, or the equivalency.
- Working Conditions and Physical Demands Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.
- Ability to provide care to the populations served.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and the ability to assess data regarding the patient's status and provide care as described in the department's policies and procedures manual.
- This position may be required to work in one or more specialty areas.
- This position provides direct patient care and may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to state law.
Nice to have
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy plus with (2) years of work experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
