About the role

  • We are looking for a Head of Artist Partnerships to lead Udio's relationships with artists, artist managers, labels, and key stakeholders across the music industry. This role is central to building and scaling participation on the Udio Artist Platform by establishing trusted, long-term partnerships with creators and their representatives.
  • You will serve as the primary external-facing leader for artist engagement, shaping how artists experience Udio and how Udio collaborates with the broader music ecosystem. This role combines strategic relationship-building, deal execution, and close collaboration with internal product, legal, and leadership teams to ensure artists are onboarded successfully and supported over time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead outreach, relationship development, and negotiations with artists, artist managers, labels, publishers, and other music industry stakeholders.
  • Drive artist adoption of the Udio Artist Platform, from initial conversations through onboarding and ongoing engagement
  • Act as a trusted partner and point of contact for artists and their teams, representing artist interests internally while advancing Udio's strategic goals.
  • Develop and refine partnership strategies that scale across genres, geographies, and artist profiles.
  • Collaborate closely with legal, product, marketing, and leadership teams to structure artist participation frameworks, terms, and workflows.
  • Proven ability to negotiate, close, and manage complex partnerships or deals.
  • You will define and lead how artists engage with Udio at a pivotal moment in the company's growth.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge creative, legal, and technical conversations.
  • Comfort operating at both executive and working levels, internally and externally.

Nice to have

  • Experience at a record label, music tech company, management firm, or digital platform.
  • Familiarity with artist rights, licensing structures, and evolving creator-economy models.
  • Experience launching or scaling artist-facing platforms or programs.
  • Background working with emerging technologies in music or creative tools.
  • You'll work directly with top-tier artists and industry leaders while shaping the future of creative collaboration.

Compensation

  • The starting base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $350,000.
