About the role

Performs professional engineering work in the design or review of engineering plans and specifications for the construction of streets, sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, traffic signals, and parking facilities.
Performs professional engineering work in the field of traffic studies including traffic data analysis and warrant studies.
Prepare designs and specifications for construction and/or are responsible for the review of plans submitted by engineering consulting firms to ensure construction is compliant with City of Orlando standards and engineering principles, methods, and techniques.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and six (6) months experience in transportation engineering
Valid Florida Driver's License required.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and two (2) years experience in transportation engineering, to include at least one (1) year experience in transportation development review, traffic studies, or crash data analysis
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and four (4) years experience in transportation engineering including at least two (2) years experience in transportation development review, traffic studies, or crash data analysis
Registration as an Engineer Intern (EI) required.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida required.
If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree
Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
