About the role
- This role is 100% in office at least 5 days a week - no remote or hybrid work available.
- Candidates must live within driving distance of Newport News, VA.
- The Electrical Engineer works closely with Mechanical Engineering, Certification, Production, and external equipment vendors to ensure electrical installations are reliable, maintainable, and certifiable.
Responsibilities
- The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, integration, and documentation of electrical and avionics systems associated with aircraft modifications, installations, and certification programs.
- What You Will Be Doing Design, analyze, and document aircraft electrical and avionics systems supporting modification, repair, and certification programs.
- Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable assemblies, installation drawings, and associated engineering documentation.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, troubleshooting, testing, and aircraft modification activities.
- Participate in engineering design reviews and provide technical recommendations regarding electrical system architecture, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Maintain engineering data under configuration control and ensure work products comply with company standards and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, development of engineering standards, and implementation of lessons learned.
- Experience developing engineering reports, installation instructions, test procedures, manuals, and certification support documents.
