About the role

  • This role is 100% in office at least 5 days a week - no remote or hybrid work available.
  • Candidates must live within driving distance of Newport News, VA.
  • The Electrical Engineer works closely with Mechanical Engineering, Certification, Production, and external equipment vendors to ensure electrical installations are reliable, maintainable, and certifiable.

Responsibilities

  • The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, integration, and documentation of electrical and avionics systems associated with aircraft modifications, installations, and certification programs.
  • What You Will Be Doing Design, analyze, and document aircraft electrical and avionics systems supporting modification, repair, and certification programs.
  • Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable assemblies, installation drawings, and associated engineering documentation.
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, troubleshooting, testing, and aircraft modification activities.
  • Participate in engineering design reviews and provide technical recommendations regarding electrical system architecture, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Maintain engineering data under configuration control and ensure work products comply with company standards and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, development of engineering standards, and implementation of lessons learned.
  • Experience developing engineering reports, installation instructions, test procedures, manuals, and certification support documents.
