About the role

This role is 100% in office at least 5 days a week - no remote or hybrid work available.
Candidates must live within driving distance of Newport News, VA.
The Electrical Engineer works closely with Mechanical Engineering, Certification, Production, and external equipment vendors to ensure electrical installations are reliable, maintainable, and certifiable.

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, integration, and documentation of electrical and avionics systems associated with aircraft modifications, installations, and certification programs.
What You Will Be Doing Design, analyze, and document aircraft electrical and avionics systems supporting modification, repair, and certification programs.
Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable assemblies, installation drawings, and associated engineering documentation.
Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, troubleshooting, testing, and aircraft modification activities.
Participate in engineering design reviews and provide technical recommendations regarding electrical system architecture, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Maintain engineering data under configuration control and ensure work products comply with company standards and procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, development of engineering standards, and implementation of lessons learned.
Experience developing engineering reports, installation instructions, test procedures, manuals, and certification support documents.
