About the role

  • Job Profile: Facilities Specialist 1 Non-Exempt Job Family: Facilities Management Time Type: Full time Max Pay - Depends on experience: $46.50 USD Hourly Apply before 11:59 PM Arizona time the day before the posted End Date.
  • DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
  • This position is located at the Tempe campus but will require working at other ASU Arizona campus locations based on program need.

Responsibilities

  • Provides routine facilities operations support for a department based on established policies and procedures.
  • Free and confidential Employee Assistance services, helping to manage personal difficulties or life challenges

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field
  • Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.

Nice to have

  • 2+ years of experience in EMS or related mechanical/electrical systems
  • High school diploma or GED
  • technical background preferred

Skills

  • Automation system and process controls.
  • Programming building automation systems and field equipment.
  • Process control calibration and control actuator valve replacement.
  • Work in extreme and varying temperatures, restricted movements, confined spaces (tunnels, manholes, vaults), and intense noise.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Work off ladders to download/upload field controllers and relocate/install thermostats.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (e.g. safety glasses, a face shield, gloves).
  • Drive University vehicle and/or cart.

Compensation

  • $46.50 USD Hourly
