About the role

  • As the manager, you will be responsible for establishing and leading all logistics operations supporting a clean-sheet aircraft development program-from prototype and flight test through to production ramp-up.
  • This is a unique opportunity to architect the company's logistics and material flow strategy from the ground up, encompassing transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and global trade compliance.
  • The department's mission is to establish a world-class supply base and integrated value chain supporting the full lifecycle of the aircraft program-from concept and prototype through certification and full-rate production.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the Supply Chain - Logistics team, including hiring, training, and developing logistics and material control professionals
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive logistics strategy that supports prototype, flight test, and production phases
  • Establish and manage domestic and international transportation networks (air, ocean, and ground) for inbound and outbound materials
  • Define and implement warehouse and material handling processes for efficiency, accuracy, and traceability. Lead global trade compliance, including import/export controls, HTS classification, and adherence to ITAR/EAR regulations
  • Develop inventory control systems and KPIs ensuring materials are stored, handled, and delivered per program requirements
  • Negotiate and manage logistics service provider (LSP) contracts, optimizing cost, service level, and reliability
  • Partner with Planning, Procurement, and Production to align logistics capacity with build schedules and ramp-up requirements
  • Implement digital tools and processes to enable visibility, performance tracking, and data-driven decision-making
  • Drive a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across all logistics operations

Requirements

  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, WMS, and logistics visibility tools
  • Knowledge of trade compliance, ITAR/EAR regulations, and export documentation
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

  • Professional certifications (e.g., SCMP, APICS, CPSM, CILT, PMP) preferred
