Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage projects with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to internal and customer status meetings.
  • Hire, mentor, and lead to a team of electrical engineers, supporting design reviews, problem solving, and professional development.
  • CFD Research has earned multiple national awards for successful application and commercialization of innovative component/system technology prototypes, multi-physics simulation software, multi-disciplinary analyses, and expert support services.
  • CFD Research is looking for a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to build and manage our emerging electronics design group to support programs across the company.
  • The candidate will grow the electronics design group to tackle a variety of projects including analog/digital circuit design, PCB layout, embedded systems, power electronics, RF engineering, and IC design.
  • The candidate will need to be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, champion customer requirements, and drive projects forward through impactful research and development while providing technical leadership and guidance to the electronics design group.
  • Maintain project lifecycle ownership through technical reports, contributing to proposal development, and track project requirements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field designing and analyzing various electronic circuits.
  • Experience leading a team and mentoring members.
  • Strong proficiency in experimental methods, documentation practices, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in integration and testing of microelectronics assemblies
  • Experience using test equipment to troubleshoot components
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written, verbal, and visual communication.
  • Must be a US Citizen and eligible to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
  • Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in proposal writing.
  • Experience with creating test methods, testing, and designing protection hardware for EMI/EMC requirements.
  • Creating test methods and testing high-power devices.

Compensation

  • Performance appraisals occur twice a year and annual pay increases are based upon corporate goals, personal development, performance, and outstanding achievements.
