About the role
- In this role, you will provide technical guidance, remove blockers by addressing engineering challenges, and help ensure solutions align with business needs, regulatory expectations, and long-term technology strategy.
- This role is responsible for advancing engineering practices across the team and broader portfolio by promoting automation, cloud-hosted solutions, AI-enabled tools, code modernization, test automation, and vulnerability management.
- The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $104,063.00 - $140,793.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions.
Responsibilities
- Ability to provide technical leadership to drive an execution team through ambiguity to reach innovative ways to solve solutions.
- Ability to design and engineer software solutions, including documenting, collaborating and aligning with portfolio architects, solution architects, and the local team.
- Strong ability to collaborate with others to solve local problems or complex design solutions both in and outside the team.
- Passion and appetite to drive technical improvements with the goal of speeding up delivery.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in engineering environments, taking abstract concepts and ideas and formulating a detailed software engineering plan to deliver
- Familiarity with LLM and experience with agentic AI platforms.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years in Java, spring framework
- 5+ years leveraging database platforms (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo)
- 3+ years with event driven and microservices design
- 3+ years of data analysis, business rules, new data sourcing discovery
- 3+ years using GitHub, DevOps practices, and tools
- 2+ years using Openshift, event driven technologies (Kafka, Rabbit)
- Sound knowledge of industry standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices
- Sound knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
- Expertise in debugging code and/or complex log files for troubleshooting and analysis of product defects
- Expert knowledge/experience with querying databases for complex data lookup/update
- Perform code reviews with associate team members
