About the role

  • The Maintenance Planner & Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all equipment and machinery.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Create and implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Maintain parts room, ensure availability of necessary parts and materials for maintenance tasks.
  • Work Order Management: Create, track, and close work orders using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including labor hours and materials used.

Requirements

  • Must wear required PPE while in all manufacturing areas.
  • Occasional ability to lift up to 30lbs.
  • Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Proficiency in CMMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of maintenance planning/scheduling experience in manufacturing (food production preferred).
  • Experience with CMMS programs used for preventative maintenance, work orders, and spare parts tracking.

Skills

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and new maintenance technologies.
  • Proficiency in CMMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
