About the role

  • At Tactile Medical, we are evolving our data capabilities from report-driven analytics to a scalable, enterprise data platform built on Microsoft Fabric.
  • The Data Architect will play a critical role in designing and governing the end-to-end data ecosystem, ensuring consistency, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Establish scalable data modeling standards, including dimensional (star schema) and semantic modeling practices

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain enterprise data architecture standards, frameworks, and reference models
  • Design end-to-end Microsoft Fabric solutions, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, semantic models, and reporting layers
  • Define environment and workspace strategies (dev, test, prod) to support reliable and repeatable delivery
  • Review and guide data solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards
  • Partner with Data Platform Engineering to establish reusable patterns, pipelines, and platform capabilities
  • Design and document data flows, lineage, and ownership across systems and platforms
  • Establish architectural guardrails that support governance, metadata management, and appropriate data access
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate data needs into scalable architectural solutions
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to design end-to-end data architectures across multiple platforms
  • Ability to define and maintain canonical data models across disparate systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or enterprise data design
  • Proven ability to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term scalability and sustainability
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language
