Responsibilities
- Transportation Planning Intern NOACA STRENGTHENS regional cohesion, PRESERVES existing infrastructure, and BUILDS a sustainable multimodal transportation system to SUPPORT economic development and ENHANCE quality of life in Northeast Ohio.
- The Transportation Planning Intern provides professional and technical support to the Transportation Planning & Engineering Division.
- This position offers students practical experience in metropolitan transportation planning, geographic information systems (GIS), data collection and analysis, multimodal transportation planning, engineering support, and public engagement activities.
- Employees may be assigned other related duties as needed to support NOACA's mission.

Skills
- Updating and maintaining GIS databases and geospatial information.
- Creating GIS maps for technical analysis, reports, presentations, and public meetings.
- Collecting, organizing, validating, and analyzing quantitative data.
- Preparing charts, graphs, tables, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate technical information.
- Recording meeting notes and documenting action items for internal, stakeholder, technical committee, and public meetings.
- Participating in division meetings, professional development opportunities, and cross-divisional collaboration.
- Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, or other GIS software preferred.
- Basic understanding of transportation planning principles and multimodal transportation systems.
- Ability to collect, organize, and analyze quantitative data.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
