About the role
- This is a traveling role that requires working in different job sites.
- Assist with installing transformer and transformer banks, bus structures and switchgear, lines (underground/overhead), ground grid, control buildings, and other related substation material tasks.
- Will work with man baskets, skid steers, shovels, compactors, back hoes and other industry equipment.
Responsibilities
- Qualifications Obtain and maintain a valid State Class C driver's license.
- This role supports the construction of new Substations as well as modifications, and upgrades of existing Substations for Electrical Utility Companies.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work on ladders and hydraulic lifts.
- Ability to learn how to operate construction equipment and use hand tools.
- Ability to work within a physically demanding work environment.
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- This position is physically active, with lifting required.
- Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
