About the role

  • The Lower Polk TAY Navigation Center is a 24-hour residential program serving unhoused transitional aged youth, ages 18 to 27.
  • The program is staffed with monitors 24 hours a day, working day (6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.), swing (2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.), or overnight (10:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.) shifts.
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • 3rd Street Youth Center & Clinic also manages Transitional Age Youth (TAY) housing stabilization programs, including the Lower Polk TAY Navigation Center and a Youth Coordinated Entry Access Point.
  • Services are delivered in a low-barrier environment, employing harm reduction and housing first models with trauma-informed support.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents, staff, and agency.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent delivery of services.
  • Support team members and residents in problem solving, conflict resolution, and de-escalation.
  • Maintain program entry protocol for residents, service providers, and visitors.
  • Perform restocking of kitchen and supplies.
  • Manage time and assignments effectively to ensure task completion.
  • Work as a team to promote and develop a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the agency.
  • Must be able to lift to 35 pounds.
  • Must be available to work on weekends General information This position is full-time and non-exempt.
