About the role

Responsibilities
- Promote safety and maintain a clean, organized work environment at all times.
- Operate manual and/or CNC machine tools to perform machining operations according to specifications.
- Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping on assigned equipment and work areas.
- Operate shop support equipment such as cranes, forklifts, grinders, drills, and other machinery as authorized.
- Support training and knowledge sharing within the department as experience and skill level permit.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Perform basic to advanced mathematical and geometric calculations required for machining activities.
- Complete required production, inspection, and quality documentation accurately.
- Education:
- Technical training, vocational education, apprenticeship, or machining certification preferred.
Nice to have
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous machining experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred.
- Experience operating manual and/or CNC machine tools is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Experience with overhead cranes, rigging, and material handling equipment is a plus.
- Experience levels ranging from entry-level to highly skilled machinists will be considered.
