About the role
- The Tax Accountant I is responsible for administering multi-state payroll tax compliance, ensuring accurate tax withholdings, filings, deposits, and reporting in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Additionally, the Tax Accountant I identifies opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, improve accuracy, and reduce tax notices through proactive research, problem-solving, and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Calculates, documents, and validates tax files, remittances, and ensures accurate settlement of daily tax deposits.
- Maintains and executes work plans to produce accurate, timely year-end information through data scrubbing.
- Manages the tax notice response process.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a team situation and autonomously with minimal supervision.
- 1+ years of progressive experience with automated financial operations center projects, 1+ years prior tax, and financial administration experience.
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience required.
- Working Conditions:
- Compensation Range: $58,000 - $65,000 annually

Compensation
- Range: $58,000 - $65,000 annually
