About the role
- Under the direction of the ISO Depot Manager, the ISO Container Equipment Control Specialist is responsible for monitoring, tracking, and managing ISO container assets to ensure availability, compliance, cost control, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor daily inventory of ISO containers across depots, terminals, and customer locations
- Track container movements (in-gate, out-gate, empty, loaded, repair, and repositioning)
Responsibilities
- Support planning of container repositioning to meet customer and operational demands
- Support recovery of missing or overdue containers
- Maintain accurate equipment records, gate tickets, and interchange reports
- Support audits related to container inventory and utilization
Nice to have
- Experience with depot operations or intermodal logistics
- Knowledge of detention, demurrage, and equipment utilization metrics
- Essential Qualifications
- Proficiency with TMS, EDI, Microsoft Office (Excel) or container tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to analyze data and identify operational trends
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
