About the role
- This role is responsible for ensuring Wise's US and Canada Regulatory Compliance program is best-in-class, meeting all regulatory obligations, effectively managing regulatory compliance risk, and scaling to enable continued growth.
- The ideal candidate will be an expert in payment/and or cross border payments and possess proven experience in evaluating and implementing applicable controls.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to develop new products and features for NorthAmerica, and ensure an effective risk assessment considering all regulatory compliance risks are adequately reviewed and assessed prior to launch
- Support the closure of regulatory compliance issues by building new controls or enhancing existing ones.

Requirements
- You have a minimum 5-7 years of experience in regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on implementing and enhancing controls.
- You have a strong ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and explain them clearly to stakeholders.
- You have experience working across cross border payments, with specific experience in the US and Canadian markets.
- You are legally authorized to work in the US.
