About the role

  • The position will be responsible for selling the Excel roster of talent to a wide range of organizations for events and conferences both in person and virtual.
  • The position will be based in Excel's NY, Miami, Chicago OR Los Angeles office, and open to remote for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Join Excel with an existing book of business while building on new book of sales business.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current speakers, understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Research and identify new areas for growth for our speakers, and help build buyer database.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote speakers and their expertise, along with the creation of targeted marketing campaigns for speakers.

Requirements

  • This is a senior sales focused role, so candidates should have extended knowledge of the sales landscape specific to the speaker business, and have experience working with talent.

Nice to have

  • Proven experience in speaker industry with at least 10 years of sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process and how to manage client relationships.
  • Understanding of event planning and logistics process is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Compensation

  • $150,000 - $175,000 per year.
  • Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the California and New York City Salary Transparency Law.
  • Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
