Responsibilities
- Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
- Provides support for hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
- Configures and manages LINUX operating system and installs
- Creates bash shell scripts to aid in system stability and deployment repeatability
- Manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
- Optimizes system operations and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning
- Loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components
- Assertive Professionals is in search of a Quality Assurance Linux Administrator to support our National Security Customer near Hanover, MD.
Requirements
- Level 1: Four (4) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Level 2: Nine (9) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Four (4) additional years of relevant system administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- Perl/Python programming and LINUX (Redhat/CentOS 5 or greater) experience.
- Knowledge of web technologies (html, xml, Java2E, etc...).
- Experience with virutalization and Puppet 3 or greater.
- Four (4) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- TS/SCI with a Polygraph
Compensation
- The salary for this position is $130,000-$140,000 which includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus, $2,000 in reimbursable relocation expenses, plus a $1,200 annual compliance bonus!
