Responsibilities
- Independently perform and manage air monitoring for asbestos abatement, lead, and mold remediation activities.
- Conduct complex indoor air quality investigations, including sampling design and interpreting results related to water intrusion events.
- Develop complete, high-quality technical reports, memos, and addendums, requiring minimal review from Project Management, to document site conditions and project-related issues.
- Its diverse expertise encompasses environmental remediation, urban planning, engineering iconic coastal and marine structures, developing sustainable energy sources, and pioneering resource extraction methods.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience performing asbestos, lead paint, IAQ/mold, and general industrial hygiene monitoring/inspections.
- NJ/EPA/NY Lead Risk Assessor/Inspector
- Strong knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations for asbestos, lead paint, etc.
Requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills with proven ability to draft professional technical reports.
- Thorough working knowledge of MS Office software and industry-specific software/databases.
- Must be willing to travel to and from job sites within the NJ / NYC area.
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and be medically cleared to wear negative pressure respirator.
- Must be available to occasionally work night or weekend hours and/or extended shifts beyond 8 hours.
- Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma required; AS or BS degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
Nice to have
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
- Additional asbestos accreditations (e.g., EPA/NYSDOL Project Designer, Certified Safety Professional).
- AS or BS degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
- High School diploma required
Compensation
- $40 - $55 per hour commensurate with experience and certifications
