About the role

We are looking for a Backend Developer, which will provide an amazing opportunity to contribute to ecobee's impact and learn from some strong Engineering Talent.
Our Backend team is packed with experienced developers who are amazing, and we guarantee that you will grow from working directly with them.
We use leading edge technologies to innovate highly concurrent, Java-based server applications that directly impact ecobee's success.

As such, to be in our office, it is required to acknowledge a formal attestation and submit accompanying proof of vaccination status.
Cloud Experience - you have some exposure to cloud technologies including AWS, Google Cloud (GCP), Azure or Heroku.
You are familiar with how to get your code "live", from getting it reviewed, merged into a production Git branch, and orchestrated on the cloud or in a datacenter.
An interest or experience in working with databases
A current Computer Science, Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering student.
Proficient at writing software in Golang, Java, C# or Node/Javascript with Typescript, Python
Good at getting your code to run on Linux-based systems.
You are familiar with how to get your code "live", from getting it reviewed, merged into a production Git branch, and orchestrated on the cloud or in a datacenter. You care about the stability of what you build so our customers have a great experience 24/7
Eager to improve your software craft.
