About the role
- Communicate effectively while facilitating training sessions and demonstrate proper technique when appropriate.
- Monitor participants for inappropriate responses to exercise. - Utilizes appropriate and current clinical exercise techniques to effectively assess and treat injuries and other medical needs.
- Provide clear and timely progress reports and concerns to referring clinicians.
Responsibilities

- Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP
- Leads programs in both private and group settings.
- Maintain accurate records in both EPIC and exercise training programs.
- Create training reports in a timely manner.
Requirements
- The ability to work independently is required.
- 2 years recent and relevant experience required.
- orthopedic, movement disorder, Parkinsons disease, multiple sclerosis and cancer are required 90-days of hire.
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Sports Medicine or related field is required.
- Carilion approved specialty training certifications: orthopedic, movement disorder, Parkinsons disease, multiple sclerosis and cancer are required 90-days of hire.
Skills
- Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
Compensation
- $18.70 - $26.18 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.
- The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.

- Perform functional assessments and evaluate movement capacity in people of all ages and levels of health.
- Utilizes appropriate and current clinical exercise techniques to effectively assess and treat injuries and other medical needs.
- Maintain education and knowledge of injury prevention, clinical assessments, human anatomy/physiology, therapeutic modalities, and medical terminology.
