About the role
- The network centric, global enterprise provides 24/7/365 world-wide, Near-Real-Time (NRT) simultaneous Multi-Intelligence (Multi-Int) capabilities and products to Combatant Commanders (CCMDs).
- A Technical Writer II will have the competency to apply writing skills and substantial knowledge of the basic principles and specialized vocabulary of the subject matter to accurately communicate the technological developments to interested stakeholders.
- This includes the development of training, operating, specifications or maintenance manuals associated with equipment and systems.
Responsibilities
- Warner Robins, GA Our client is seeking a Technical Writer II to support our Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS) program.
- A Technical Writer II may make final reviews of proposed publications for style, design, layout, and editorial aspects before release.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure accuracy of drawings.
- Review and update existing drawings as necessary to reflect changes in system design or requirements.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date repository of all technical drawings.
- Participate in design reviews and meetings, documenting discussions and decisions related to technical drawings.
- Provide technical support to operational strategies aligned within your program and initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across all program functions

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or other relevant discipline and at least 3 years of experience working in a technical capacity on a DoD program are required
- Associate's degree and 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree or 6 years of additional work experience in lieu of no degree
- In-depth knowledge of military standards for technical drawings (DODi and Air Force AFI's).
- Willingness to travel if required.
Nice to have
- Experience with IT-based systems and networks.
- Familiarity with Air Force DCGS or similar intelligence systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in MS Office software, including MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.

Compensation
- The proposed salary range for this position is $73,800-$90,100.
